Try weird stuff, see what works.

"If you don't love it, fuck it, it's not worth doing.

"The money part is not the important part, the important part is the opportunity to get your hands wet, to go out there to jump around, fuck around, make mistakes. Try weird stuff, see what works.

Right. That's what ALL the rich people say. Do what you love... uh-huh. It helps if you've got cash in the bank to help back that up... -R

That is a good point, one that my dad would make.

Doing what you love for a living *is* possible - not only if you are rich - but merely middle class - that is of course unless you love sitting on your ass and contemplating the universe. Then money comes in handy. It also counts upon what are your lifestyle expectations. I know for myself - I'm probably going to earn considerablly less then what I earn if I switch careers.

Luckily for me - I love coding and developing websites. Although when the power goes out, I get a warm fuzzy feeling like I live at the cabin again - and then I don't know what they hell I want to do. I think being a good Dad is the best thing to try - and don't be normal about it, try wierd stuff. Like making your kids laugh and wonder how you can be such a good dad ;)
