Yet another open source Java CMS/portal server.

The JBoss guys have ported PHP Nukes to Java, read about it at O'Reilly's place: Nukes: the Open Source Java CMS. Looks interesting, but it is certainly not the first comprehensive open source Java CMS on the market as the author claims. Also, I don't understand why they include a weblog about fashion trends.

Comments:

Curious as there is a well known JBoss contributor with another opne source CMS.. But maybe there are market segmentation differences between what JBoss Nukes and the other Opene Source CMS try to get? I mean there is a vasst difference from the CMS that a newspapers use such as Knight Rider and other corporate environmeents and some other environmnets.. No CMS can be the end all to everything CMS..that is Userland's approach which doesnt work market wise for customers..

Good point Fred, no CMS can be the end all to everything CMS. But it doesn't change the fact that Marc's article lacks any reasonable attempt to understand what is already available. It is pure marketing which you may consider fine but I think that it is a waste of time. At this point I find it hard to trust Marc because he seems to do everything in his own little bubble with little regard for the rest of the world.

Dave, fix that URL. I believe it should be http://www.phpnuke.org/ .
