Old news, now with popups!

Checking in with java.blogs on a Monday morning via SharpReader. It is very cool to find new releases: Ant 1.5.3, JBoss 3.2.1, Hibernate 2.0, Netbeans 3.5, and Struts 1.1RC2. It is not so cool to recieve a popup from Ammai.com every time I click on a news item and to find that most of this news is over a week old. SharpReader needs a popup blocker.

yes ammai is pretty bad there is one other one on javablogs.com that has pop ups as well..but cant recall the name at the moment Of course because I use newsmonster right in Netscape or Mozz the ads automatically blocked..have you tried using a reader that integrates with a browser with pop up blocking features?

Does SharpReader have proxy support? Try The Proximitron.

Are you sure the popups aren't coming from some sort of spyware/adware on your machine? I've never gotten any popups going through javablogs - I just went and clicked through the ammai entries and got nothing. I even switched over to IE and no dice.

I guess that is possible, but Ad-aware says I'm clean and the only place I get popups is when I click on an Ammai entry in SharpReader.
