MyEclipseBugs.

I followed up my "not impressed with MyEclipse" post by posting some of the problems I encountered to the MyEclipse "private messages" support forum. That was yesterday. I didn't get a response, so today I posted each of my issues in the Bug Reports and Fixes forum (see below). The MyEclipse site is very slow and I haven't been able to muster the patience to figure out if there is a separate forum for paying customers (like me).

Comments:

I just read through your forum posts and responded. I expect most of your issues will be addressed by a service patch to be released early next week except for the web project structure flexibility which is scheduled to be available in the Nov release. Regarding the MyEclipse site being slow we typically have 100+ simultaneous users with many downloading (e.g., 100+G/mo). We have beefed up our site hardware and optimized services but the dynamic nature of the site load is a challenge that we are constantly working to improve. I appreciate your feedback. The mandatory directory structure is a real pain in the butt. I stick with MyEclipse anyway, but when I started using it and found that I had to restructure all of my web apps I was displeased.

The directory structure and TLD/URI issues are showstoppers for me. I won't be able to use MyEclipse for real work until these issues are fixed. <p /> I am happy to learn that the MyEclipse guys are working on these issues and fixes are coming in the near future.
