Blogapps 1.0.3 and .tar.gz

I just uploaded new builds of the Blogapps Examples and Blogapps Server. See the announcement on the Manning RSS and Atom in Action forum. There are a couple of bug fixes in the Atom server implementation, a couple of missing C# examples have been added and both downloads are now available in TGZ and ZIP format.

I had thought that TGZ (i.e. gzipped tar) was fine for everybody including Windows users, because last time I checked WinZIP handled TGZ files without a hitch. But I've gotten several complaints about my TGZ only policy, so now I'm offering both formats. I guess I should do the same thing for Roller.

The next release will support Atom protocol draft #10.

I read this book and it is pretty good. This was the first time I had heard about Roller and what it could do was pretty neat. Is it possible to get involved in some capacity in the development of Roller. I have some ideas that I would like to implement that may be helpful to all the Roller users. * Develop rating system on the blog entry when I submit comments indicating if the article was useful. * Tagging the blog entry within Roller. * When I upload a file, I need to copy/remember the link and use it as part of my image tag, or link tag when I write an entry. Develop autocompletion feature through AJAX when I start typing <a href= or img src= in HTML. * Provide archiving tools to archive older blog entries from the database. Also, is there a place that I can go to find out all new features coming up or being planned in Roller so that I do not duplicate the effort.
