7 more Java databases.

I'll be honest with you: I don't remember why I used the title "Only 5 Java-based databases?" Too much hefeweizen, maybe? I did not mean to spark controversy, but I like the results. Eric follows up by listing 7 more Java-based databases: QED, tinySQL, Daffodil DB, JDataStore, XL2, JDBM, and Jsdbm.
Comments:

We all know that they are great when used as the "default" embeddable database i.e. "Joe" user can install your system and get it up an running in a matter of seconds.. he doesn't need to know SQL and setup tables etc... but how about competing with MySQL.. In other words, where are these bad boys heading....

No offense taken, and have another beer. The interesting thing to me about Java databases are the ability to run on multiple platforms as well as the (for most) simple installation and run commands. This makes these databases good development tools.
