After you resign it is really difficult to get motivated to work on anything.

When I resigned my previous job, the only thing that kept me working was that I didn't want to land my teammates with heaps more work than they already had. After I'd finished all the handover I just relaxed, went to meetings, read the web. etc. etc. etc. I looked on it as a chance to relax in preparation for the new job.
