Long live WROX.

There have been numerous weblog posts and news articles about the demise of WROX Press. This is sad news, but I'm not giving up on Professional JSP 2.0 yet. There is still some small chance that another publisher will pick up the book or that the authors will band together to publish the book. Hopefully, I'll know the fate of my chapters (Data Access with JDBC and Performance and Debugging) in the next couple of weeks.

As a Java developer, Wrox going under is overall a good thing. While we'll miss the oxymoronic Professional JSP (bah), hundreds of .NET books just went down the toilet. And Wrox MOSTLY publishes M$ stuff so who really cares if they go out of business...
